About Us
Simplicity Des Moines (formerly Davis Life & Annuity) was founded by Ronald A. Davis, CLU in 1980 as a full-service, wholesale life and annuity brokerage. In 2002, Ron’s sons Jon Davis and Trent Davis (who has since retired) purchased Davis Life & Annuity, and continued the same tradition of excellence started by their father. They expanded services to include underwriting, mentoring, income planning, wealth transfer strategies, product development, and actuarial services.
In 2019, Davis Life & Annuity merged with Simplicity Group Holdings. Becoming part of the Simplicity family gave the team access to even more exciting products and business-enhancing tools. Known today as Simplicity Des Moines, the office remains a hub of activity in West Des Moines, Iowa; just minutes from some of the largest and most respected insurance companies in the world. This close proximity has allowed us to develop and maintain valuable relationships with our carriers — the benefits of which we pass onto our agents.
