Kathy Deren — Director, Underwriting Relationship Strategies — Nationwide
Kathy has over 25 years of experience in the life insurance industry, including time at a home office and with both captive and brokerage agencies. Since 1995, she has concentrated on the life brokerage area with heavy emphasis on impaired risks and large cases. Kathy joined Nationwide in 2007. In her current role of Director of Brokerage Underwriting, Kathy is responsible for driving strategies designed to grow market share and strengthening relationships as well as underwriting competitiveness.
Prior to joining Nationwide, Kathy was an Assistance Vice President of Underwriting and Officer for US Financial/AXA. While there, she developed the Specialized Resource team which underwrote large, impaired risk cases. She also designed and participated in underwriting seminars and served as the Brokerage Director for Finmark, US Financials’ home office brokerage agency. |
